Bottom line is you have to plan to succeed and work the plan. Be patient and know that it will take time to achieve your weight loss goals. Experts agree that it is best to lose one to two pounds per week.

7. Are you willing to explore emotional issues that trigger overeating?

Do you eat when you’re bored? Angry? Sad? Happy? Stressed?

Let’s face it we all need to be more active then we are. You don’t need to join a gym or set up a rigorous exercise program. You just need to add more physical activity in your life.
Remember to lose weight you must consume fewer calories and exercise more.

Some easy ways to add exercise into your life …

  • Take a daily walk with your loved ones before or after dinner
  • Go outside and play ball with your children
  • Take dancing lessons
  • Park as far away as possible and walk rest of the way
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator
  • Take up a new sport, tennis, volleyball, basketball etc …

You need to be willing to do whatever it takes to lose weight. We are all individuals, this will be different things for each one of us.

It’s extremely important that you have support while losing weight. You may need someone to talk to when that bag of chips is screaming “eat me”. Have someone on speed dial that you can call.
